Overview

The Society currently occupies three nineteenth-century houses. In 1994 the Society acquired the 1881 Kern-Harrington House, which in 1995 received certification as a museum from the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums. In 2001 the Society was given possession of a second property, the 1870 Rose Taylor Dryer House. More recently, the Society acquired the 1860 Ealy House, in exchange for the Kern-Harrington House, through an arrangement with The New Albany Company. Restoration of the Ealy House is underway and the Society plans to move out of the K-H house and establish a new museum in the Ealy House.
